On August 20, 2015 White River Junction VA Medical Center will host the medical center’s 2nd Summer of Summer of Service Voluntary Outreach and Open House. The event is part of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ (VA) new nationwide initiative designed to build upon its existing partnerships to grow the number of individuals and organizations serving Veterans in their communities. The open house will provide an opportunity for community members, organizations, and Veterans to meet with VA staff to learn about VA services and how they can get engaged in helping Veterans. WRJ VAMC will have representatives from Women’s Health, Mental Health, Volunteer Service, Vet’s Center, Special Programs, National Center for PTSD, Wellness/Move, Research, Veterans Choice, Enrollment, Patient Safety, Veterans Benefits, Nursing, Rec Therapy, and Visual Impairment Services.
