What is Schizophrenia?
Schizophrenia is a psychotic disorder which affects a person's thoughts, perceptions, emotions, and behaviors. While some people with schizophrenia may have similar symptoms, individuals can have very different experiences with this disorder, have different treatment needs, and respond to treatment in different ways.

Available Treatments for Schizophrenia at White River Junction, VT VA
Individual Psychological Interventions – Brief or long-term individual therapy focused on the needs of the individual. Both male and female clinicians are available.
Group Therapy – Many groups are available at the White River Junction VA. There are open groups, which are available to all veterans and do not require a referral to attend. Many of the open groups address challenges that people with Schizophrenia often face.
Medications – There are psychiatrists who work with individuals with Schizophrenia to prescribe medications to best address the individual's needs.
